Sikondo Irrigation Farm (Feasibility Study, Design and Implementation)
The objective of the project is to assist the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Forestry to undertake a feasibility study for Sikondo Green Scheme Irrigation Project and undertake the implementation of the project. The farm,
1000ha in extent is located in the Kavango Region of Namibia. The scope of work in this assignment, done in two phases (1 feasibility study and 2nd implementation) involved the following duties:
Feasibility Phase:
- Environmental Assessment.
- Agronomic Studies.
- Technical project feasibility study (Electrical, Agricultural and Civil Engineering)
Implementation Phase.
- Project design- Bulk water Supply.
- Electrical Systems design.
Infrastructure design (Houses, Offices, Roads & Sewerage system)
- Tender Document Preparation
- Management of Construction phase of project
- Construction of all infrastructure for the farm
